Lori Makabe is a wedding and portrait photographer who documents the love stories of a limited number of couples each year.

Based in the Delta, she has covered weddings throughout Northern California and Nevada. On a global scale Lori has photographed weddings in Italy, Vietnam and Poland and she regularly travels to Baja for barefooted celebrations on the beach.

Lori’s art captures the spontaneity, splendor and emotion of the moment. She shoots discreetly, is mindful of her surroundings, and projects confidence under pressure. She is a graduate of the Rocky Mountain School of Photography and her professional associations include the Wedding and Portrait Professionals International (WPPI), Professional Photographers of the Sacramento Valley (PPSV), Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area (PPGBA) and of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).  Her work has won numerous awards which included publication in Photo District News, Sacramento Bride and Groom Magazine, Islands Magazine, and Smithsonian Magazine Online.
