How do you spend your advertising dollars? Is there anything you know works for sure? What if you and a bunch of other wedding vendors could pool some of your advertising money together to promote one thing, and use that one thing to link to everyone's individual company. That would be a great way to advertise, especially if you could track it's success. To that end, StocktonWeddings.com is born. The goal of StocktonWeddings.com is to promote all it's individual advertisers as a whole, thus using the large amount of ad dollars to drive traffic to the site. Unlike the large wedding sites, all of the traffic generated would be local traffic in our market, not the Bay Area or markets that we don't really care to promote in. We are committed to spending the money needed to promote the web site.
We also wanted to make the site unique. Each advertiser does not just have a small picture with a link, but a 3-4 minute video clip to promote their company. This would work much like a bridal show booth. When brides come to a bridal show, they stop by your booth to hear a short little presentation on why they should use your service. We want to take that presentation put it into a online video clip that would be part of your ad on StockonWeddings.com. That's why we are calling it an online bridal show.
Our advertising started on August 25, 2008 with a full-size billboard on I-5 by the Port of Stockton. It's viewable heading North from downtown. The next one is slated for October on Hwy 99 by Waterloo Road viewable heading South. Both billboards were purchased of 6 month terms. This is just the start of the promotions! Even before the promotions started, StocktonWeddings.com has been receiving over 1000 visits a month, with over 5000 page views. A traditional bridal show does not get you that kind of exposure. This is a cost effective way to promote to local brides!
The investment is $1000.00 for a year for each category. If you offer multiple services, you must pay individually for all of those categories. No co-ops or associations are allowed to purchase advertising. To attract brides you can offer free stuff which will make you a featured vendor with more exposure. You must provide a 3 to 4 minute video clip. We will take care of putting it on the website. Your logo, contact info, and a paragraph about your business is also required.
